My pet is matted, what are our options?

Most appointments take 1.5 to 3 hours depending on your pets size, coat condition, and behaviour. We'll give you a time estimate at drop off and notify you when your pet is ready for pick up.

We find that pets are often more anxious when owners are nearby. For safety and focus, we ask that owners drop off and return at pickup time. We will keep you updated if needed.

If matting is mild, we'll attempt to brush and demat it safely at an extra charge. If the coat is severely matted, a short clip may be necessary to avoid pain and skin damage. We'll always discuss options with you before starting.

For severely matted pets requiring a shave-down there is a $15 shave-off fee. If de-matting is possible, safe and your pet tolerates it, it's $15 for the first 10 minutes, then $1.50 per minute after that. This covers the extra time, skill and care needed to de-matt your pets coat safely.
